ELIZABETH WARREN
Elizabeth Warren has represented Massachusetts as a Democratic Senator since 2013. Her legislative priorities center on consumer protection, economic equity, and strengthening social safety nets.
In the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, where she placed third, Warren championed an "Economic Patriotism" platform aimed at revitalizing American industry and workers.
Elizabeth recognizes that women face distinct challenges across economic policy, immigration, gun violence, and climate change. Her policy proposals reflect this understanding, addressing the racial and gender equity dimensions embedded in each issue.
Warren co-sponsored the Violence Against Women Re-authorization Act of 2019 and introduced the Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act, which dedicates an entire section to blocking domestic abusers' access to firearms.
A longtime advocate for social and economic justice, she also introduced the End Banking for Human Traffickers Act to identify and eliminate illicit financing sources that enable human trafficking.
